I will be 62 on May 24th-----Yes, Bob and I share a Birthday------and the first time I heard "Chimes of Freedom" I was 20 and with my first love! The lyrics were burned into my mind and the older I got, the more meaningful they became. I have always felt a connection to Bob Dylan, as though he were reading my mind and putting into words what I felt but I could not verbalize.
I often, when feeling down, put on my old Bob Dylan records and he seems to straighten me out. I have been trying to find a site where I can get an address so I can contact him, but have had no luck. The Chimes of Freedom are still ringing after 40 years. Love Bob, Love his music, Love his lyrics and Love "Chime of Freedom" still today. |
